VTA 2019: Find Your Light

International and East Coast based choreographer, Alisha Clark, will focus on the different techniques of learning choreography quickly and efficiently while pushing the importance of performance, musicality, and texture. Dancers will learn and practice the differences in execution for film, stage, and (commercial dance) tour performances with an emphasis in the different styles of Hip Hop including Dance hall and Contemporary/Lyrical Hip Hop. Dancers will also learn the importance of dancing individually vs. dancing in a crew. After learning choreography, the dancers will be split up into smaller groups to perform during class. Dancers will also be given the opportunity to freestyle.
