Jennifer Flitton Adams has been a costume designer for over 25 years. She teaches costume design and related topics at the Conservatory at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. Jennifer studied at Sarah Lawrence College and the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign as well as the Centro Lorenzo de'Medici and the Accademia della Moda in Florence, Italy. She has designed at many theatres, including Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre, Maryland Ensemble Theatre, Allenberry Playhouse, and the Totempole Playhouse.
Jennifer Flitton Adams has been a costume designer for almost thirty years. B.A./Liberal Arts, Sarah Lawrence College, M.F.A./Theatre/Costume Design, University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. Jennifer also studied art and fashion design in Florence, Italy at the Centro Lorenzo de/Medici and the Accademia della Moda. She has designed and taught at Shenandoah University as an Associate Professor of Theatre/Costume Design since 1999. Regional theatre work includes two years as the resident costume designer at the Allenberry Playhouse, as well as design and/or technical work at the Totempole Playhouse, Pennsylvanie Shakespeare Festival, Colorado Opera Festival, Santa Fe Opera, the Pennsylvania Stage Company, Summer Studio Theatre Company, the Maryland Ensemble Theatre, and the Tuacahn Center for the Arts, among others.
